Background

About Justin Browning

Professionally, I am a data analyst with a solid foundation in public anthropology, specializing in human-centered research, client-support, social listening, and policy monitoring. I strive to ensure that my work makes a positive difference in the world, even if it is one step at a time. I have extensive experience in market and policy research, literature reviews, and developing materials to support agencies in local advocacy and government relations. Academically, my background in anthropology and archaeology are vital to my work and a pillar of my professional trajectory. I love learning how humans have interacted with their environments and with each other throughout history; I get to continue this learning daily through public infrastructure consulting and market research across the country. My graduate degree centered on blending academia with activism, a core value I still bring into my work. Personally, I'm an avid reader, a dog-dad, and play first base on my LGBTQ+ kickball team in DC. If you want to connect, I promise that any mention of Percy Jackson, the latest Marvel project, the surprise songs on the Eras Tour, public transit in America (or better yet, outside of America), or syncretism in the archaeological record will have me talking your ear off!
