About Justin Counts

A dedicated advocate and entrepreneur based in Michigan, Justin L Counts Sr. brings a unique blend of service, resilience, and community commitment to his work. Following two years of honorable service in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Fuel Systems Technician, Justin relocated to Michigan in December 2005. After several years, challenges led to incarceration in 2012, followed by his release in 2015. This experience became a catalyst for his passionate advocacy for community empowerment, leading him to create several impactful programs: the 8-week "Hustle 4 a Living" program, which equips individuals with entrepreneurial skills and strategies for navigating the gig economy;"Game4Life," a mentorship program dedicated to guiding and supporting young people; and the "Jackson Strength Network," a vital support group for men. In 2018, he further channeled his passion into action by establishing all4less, a successful liquidation retail company, and co-founding J&J Handpoured Candles with his wife, whom he married in 2016. His professional experience includes serving as a Resource Specialist and Housing Case Manager at the Community Action Agency and the Jackson Housing Commission. Currently, Justin serves as a Veteran Housing Advocate at the Community Action Agency under the SSVF program, directly supporting those who have served our country. Deeply invested in the well-being of his community, Justin volunteers his time with organizations such as Save Our Youth, YPOP (Young People of Purpose), Nation Outside, and Safe and Just Michigan. A proud father of six and grandfather of five, he also enjoys flying drones and writing music in his personal time.
