About Justin Henderson

Dr. Henderson is an assistant professor of counseling, counseling psychologist, and organizational consultant. He is a National Certified Counselor, Licensed Psychologist, and certified compassion teacher. He has been a mental health professional since 2006 and has clinical expertise in trauma, body image/eating disorders, complex and chronic behavioral concerns, and mood/anxiety disorders. He has received extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He has clinical experience in a wide array of contexts including: university counseling centers, hospitals, inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities, schools, and residential treatment programs. Additionally, Dr. Henderson has provided clinical supervision to counselors-in-training and psychologists-in-training. Dr. Henderson has significant administrative experience in higher education and clinical healthcare systems. He currently serves as the Co-Director of the Professional Mental Health Counseling with specialization in Addictions program. Additionally, he is faculty in the Eating Disorders Certificate program at Lewis & Clark College. Dr. Henderson is highly requested for his work in the area of burnout and workplace environment. He has helped government agencies, private businesses, nonprofit organizations, and healthcare professionals address burnout.
