About Justin Law

I am an experienced communications professional with a combination of 30 years of communications, journalism and marketing experience.I have provided strategic communications policy, advice and planning within the senior leadership team for a not-for-profit sporting organisation to promote the interests of its members. I am now building a not-for-profit association to represent grassroots timber workers, the communities they live in and those who recognise the value of Australia's well-regulated timber industry.I have managed government relations, internal and external communication including media liaison and social media management, and have experience handling crisis communications.I have skills in long-term strategic planning, stakeholder engagement from member to parliamentary level, and shaping attitude through social media. As a leader I help team members reach their potential through recognising their talent and encouraging them to grow into new challenges.My fundamental skill is knowing how to break down complex information to create messages which can be easily absorbed by a broad audience. This skill was honed as a journalist, chief sub-editor and editor in print and online and it dovetails into my ambition to shape and deliver messaging through storytelling as a senior communications professional.
