I have worked in the Insurance Industry since April 2014 with the last 5+ years focused on fraud/investigations. Upon beginning my Insurance career I also obtained my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. I started as a Customer Service Representative in a call center setting assisting customers in regards to filing a new accident claim and/or assisting with questions surrounding ongoing claims. I then promoted to the “Theft” Department as a theft adjuster. This role not only involved assisting customers with their vehicle theft/fire claims but also involved properly reviewing and investigating these claims to determine the overall legitimacy. If concerns were identified the claim was referred over to the Special Investigations Unit for review. After approximately a year as a Theft Adjuster I was then promoted to our Special Investigations Unit as an investigator. This role required detailed and efficient investigations on all claim types including: Thefts, Fires, Property Damage, Injuries, staged accidents and more. It involved taking daily statements from subjects in which we suspected fraud may have been committed. It involved detailed statements, requests of evidence to support what has been reported along with detailed written reports of my findings. The position also required collaboration with law enforcement agencies such as the NICB or Department of Insurance when fraud has been identified. After approximately 2 years as an SIU investigator I was then promoted to a management role within SIU as a Supervisor. This role involved overseeing a group of investigators to ensure that their investigations are effective, efficient and compliant with state and goverment requirements. I provide daily feedback and coaching to help improve each investigator in specific areas of opportunity. I have a proven track record of moving my teams results to exceed company expectations on a monthly basis.
