About Justin Mihaly

Justin Mihaly is a recent graduate with a degree and a diploma in Business Administration specializing in finance from the University of Guelph (UofG) and Humber College. During his University career, he held many top governance positions including; being a member of the Board of Governors at the UofG, Co-Chair of the UofG Student Senate Caucus and a board member of the UofG Central Student Association. He was the first student from a secondary campus of the university to hold these positions. His leadership in these positions helped combat issues such as; the COVID-19 response from the university, combatting antisemitism on campus and led the way in the creation of the university's strategic framework refresh. These roles led to him earning the university's top graduation awards; the Michael Nightingale Community Enrichment Award and the Walter Vaughan Medal. While studying, Justin became more engaged in federal and provincial politics. In 2021, Justin worked on the federal campaign with MP and Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party, Melissa Lantsman as Canvass Chair. In 2022, Justin worked on a Provincial campaign in Thornhill in a strategy role leading to the successful election of MPP Laura Smith. Justin currently, is the Director of Community Outreach and Engagement for the Solicitor General of Ontario, Michael Kerzner. Justin is also currently enrolled in the Computer Science for Business Professionals Certificate at Harvard University and in 2023, Co-Founded the Centre for AI Research, working on developing AI software for public sector employees to work more efficiently.
