About Justin Paul

I am an experienced and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer, with 17 years experience in Marine, Defence and Nuclear Engineering. I am experienced in leading design teams to meet difficult requirements within challenging budgets and programmes. I have worked in most job roles in all phases of the design process; my experience means I know what it takes to progress a design from a concept to a fully commissioned product, and have done so as a project manager and lead engineer. I have good personal skills and am as comfortable presenting to directors, clients and conference audiences as I am with my peers. I am ambitious and driven and am looking for a job that will make use of my current skills as well as providing opportunities for training and self improvement. I will be attracted to a challenging role with a good career pipeline with opportunities for promotion in the future. Here is a brief summary of my experiences: • Chief (Head) Engineer – Responsible for all engineering output and the equipment safety case for a £50m/yr revenue company. • Project Manager and Technical Project Leads – I have been responsible for the running of projects worth millions and leading a team of people to take design from a concept to a production unit. • Core Disciplines: Mechanical, Hydraulics and Pneumatics. • Core Skills: CAD Design and Drafting, Analysis – both hand and FEA, Concept development, System Design, Detailed and Production design, Safety Analysis, Installation & Commissioning, Test & Evaluation, Prototyping.
