About Justin Paulsen

I am a young, up-and-coming South African entrepreneur with a specific focus and interest in international financial markets. My passion for the financial markets was ignited at the University of Cape Town where I majored in Economics and Finance. My career started in the private banking sector, before ending up at one of South Africa’s leading forex brokerages. Here I played an integral role in transforming and growing that company through my determination, perseverance, and passion for this industry. It was here where I started interacting with Traders, Hedge Fund Managers, Asset Managers, Portfolio Managers and Forex Traders on a daily basis. Through these interactions and relationships with many of the best traders in this industry, I learned the methodology behind how they derived their decisions for their trades. Over the years I researched, tested and confirmed these theories, and developed and fine-tuned my winning formula. I initially started a company called JP Forex Investments to pass on my knowledge and equip other individuals with the tools I learned and developed. As my students were trained and required the ideal broker to trade with, I identified shortcomings in the current offerings available. This sparked the desire to open my own CFD and OTC broker – designed by a trader, for a trader. I furthered my qualifications and completed my RE5 AND RE1 exams, being an approved key individual to launch a FSB approved and regulated forex brokerage in South Africa.
