About Justin Ryan
I am an Ecology PhD student in the Sewall lab at Temple University. The complex network of interactions that compose all ecosystems has led me to pursue research in the field of community ecology. I aim to understand how invasive species are impacting near-shore marine invertebrate communities across latitudes, and how the changing climate is altering invasion dynamics and biodiversity patterns. I am currently working towards my preliminary proposal for my dissertation. I hope to use these projects to further my understanding of the effect of temperature on invasions in the tropics, as well as expand this research to examine the impact of invaders on communities in the temperate zone.
