I am a Jurisdictional Relations Code Consultant for Honeywell Fire, where I collaborate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction(AHJs) to develop strong, code-driven enforcement programs in their communities through education and collaboration. I have over 32 years of experience in the emergency services and safety fields, having worked in higher education, local municipalities, and corporate environments. My roles have included Wildland and Structural Firefighter/EMT, Fire Marshal, Police Officer, and Life Safety and Security Consultant. I have held the ranks of Fire Captain and Police Sergeant and have served as a Hostage Negotiator, Crisis Intervention Officer, and Fire Investigator. Throughout my career, I have been instrumental in pre-planning, risk analysis, traffic management, crowd management, and overall life safety management for hundreds of special events. These events have ranged from small gatherings to large-scale events with over attendees, spanning 30 years. I focus on innovative solutions that achieve goals, reduce liability, and remain cost-effective while staying within budget.
