Systems Engineer, automation developer, and toolset creator.I have spent over a decade supporting and building out customer-facing and product platform services in environments ranging from start-up to globally-distributed enterprise. I love working with diverse groups of people from engineering, business, and design backgrounds to solve problems and build products.My focus is on architecting cost-effective, maintainable infrastructure, using open-source software and open standards whenever practical. I have been responsible for everything from low-level Linux system debugging and driver porting, to web service and database maintenance and development, to creating entire toolsets in support of systems engineering dataset management and automation. Specialties include Linux (Debian/Ubuntu, RedHat), tools development with Golang and Python, data modeling using mysql/postgres, and building cloud-centric solutions using AWS services.
