About Justin Thomas

I am an experienced business professional with over six years of management and leadership experience and a proven record of accomplishments. I have led teams that have ranged in size from two to one hundred individuals that have covered a variety of sales, merchandising, and operational areas. Through my experience at The Home Depot, I have gained experience in general business management, financial management, human resources, training and personnel development, marketing, customer relations, inventory controls, project management, contract management, and event planning. This experience is supported by a Masters in Public Administration from Walden University, where I have further developed my management and leadership abilities and tailored them to the public sector. At Walden University, I studied public sector economics, human resource management, research methods, crisis response, public policy, organizational structure, and planning. While specializing in Terrorism, Mediation, and Peace, this specialization allowed me to further explore topics relating to terrorism policy and psychology. This was an expansion of the studies I completed at Empire State College, which included Middle Eastern culture, history and politics, terrorism, and international relations. While at Empire State College, I began developing a methodology to understand and forecast international conflict, which I presented to the New York State Political Science Association.
