About Justin Walker

Hi! I’m Justin Walker — a Political Science and Psychology student at the University of Denver passionate about fostering belonging, equity, and growth within higher education. My academic and professional experiences have deepened my commitment to helping students transition, thrive, and find community throughout their college journey. As a 4D Peer Mentor, Residential Assistant, and College Access & Diversity Intern in Undergraduate Admission, I’ve worked to create environments where students feel seen, supported, and empowered. Whether facilitating first-year dialogues, coordinating orientation programming, or leading outreach for underrepresented students, I’ve learned how mentorship and intentional programming can shape transformative student experiences. My time as a New Student Orientation Intern at Lawrence University and with DU’s New Student and Family Programs team has strengthened my interest in student development, program coordination, and equity-driven leadership. These experiences have inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Higher Education Administration, with the goal of supporting access, success, and belonging across college campuses.I’m drawn to roles that combine relationship-building, reflection, and strategy — spaces where I can help students navigate transitions while contributing to programs that make higher education more inclusive and holistic.Let’s connect if you’re passionate about student success, leadership development, or reimagining the college experience through collaboration and community.
