About Justine Torres

I am a recent Bachelor of Health Science graduate and current Master of Public Health student from the University of Florida on the pre-medical track. Despite my vested interest in pursuing a career in the healthcare realm, I hold a deep-seated passion for the humanities and value an interdisciplinary approach to learning. I recognize that while one’s social determinants of health may set the context of their lives, their stories are not necessarily set in stone. Moreover, I acknowledge the responsibility that comes with a medical license, and am committed to grounding my future medical practice in a social model of care. My ultimate goal is to leverage my unique skill set and interdisciplinary background to practice as a physician who understands the complexities of health and illness.
