I'm Justus van Eijk, and I'm excited to share my unique journey with you. At 18, I made the bold decision to take a gap year to chase my dreams and ambitions.Nine months ago, I proudly graduated from high school. While some might have opted for the traditional path straight to university, I felt an undeniable pull towards my creative passions. My academic journey, though fulfilling in many ways, often left me yearning for more freedom to explore my creative side. I've always believed that true growth happens when we follow our passions wholeheartedly.With a background in drama and visual arts, I've always had a penchant for storytelling and artistic expression. What initially started as a thrilling scene writing assignment in a Dutch class eventually evolved into my greatest passion: writing, directing, and acting in my very own TV series.Over the past four years, I've poured my heart and soul into this dream project. I began by writing a book, which soon transformed into a vision for a captivating TV series. Transitioning from book-writing to screenwriting was a transformative process, and I realized that thorough preparation was key. A year and a half of groundwork later, I'm now done with the pilot episode. Writing more everyday, hoping to finish the other episode by summers end.My ultimate goal during this gap year is to secure a deal with an international production company. As I prepare to embark on this exciting journey, I understand that it won't be easy. I'm actively seeking opportunities and connections that can help me achieve this ambitious goal.
