About Justyna Bartczak

I was born in Poland where I grew up. When I turned 16 years old, I moved to the UK and went to college. I was studying Beauty Therapy (Level 3 and Level 4) and shortly after that, I went to Sixth Form to do my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Polish Language. In 2019, I got a place at the Bath Spa University to study Human Nutrition as it has always been very interesting to me how what we eat can affect our health and well-being. In the future, I would like to study dietetics to broaden my knowledge and to help people with their lifestyle choices and difficulties that they may be experiencing in relation to nutrition and well-being, especially those who have underlying health conditions as it may be very challenging for them to implement changes. I have been vegan since 2018, and because I wanted to inspire people and give them new ideas of plant-based foods, I created an Instagram account with my own recipes of delicious and nutritious foods I eat. I have also been volunteering in the local volunteering groups (FoodCycle and Food for Thought) whose main aim is to feed those who are in difficult time of their lives so that they don't feel excluded and that they feel cared for. I have been helping with recipe ideas, food preparations as well as enjoying meals with people who come by. Also currently, I am working part-time at the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa as a SPA Therapist and I have been enjoying it. I love seeing when the clients are happy and relaxed after treatments.
