A comment I hear a lot:"You are one of the most passionate & straight forward people that I have ever come across." And it either comes with a big smile and a level of admiration or with an angry face and a fair degree of frustration. The reasons are usually the same for both- I get stuff done & will pull the necessary resources to get it done- I do not like to 'tip-toe' around people and like the environment where you can be yourself, express yourself freely, and feel confident to apply your passion into whatever it is that you do- I like things done in an efficient & organised manner- When I commit to do something - I stick with it and expect others to do the same- I demand a lot from myself & from my team; I don't do mediocre. Those that like an easy ride through projects and challenges, tend to struggle with my style. Those that have a vision, passion & drive within them - gel with me as we bounce off each other, coming up with some amazing ideas and strategies. At MAXIMeyes I met one of the most inspiring, motivating & engaging leaders who believed in me & saw my abilities before I could see them myself. There were 3 of us. Now there are 33. I went all the way with the company: from the office manager, client liaison, company operations and team management to HR, recruitment, growth hacking, all the way up to the exec board. We set up companies together, some successful, some not; we built the office from a single room to 3 floors. This is what you do when you join a start up. Our shared passion for making things better, shaping some of the biggest industries, and seeing what can be achieved with the right application of technology, has lead to ASPIRE. Born during one of the mind-jam-sessions between Shamir Jiwa and I - the idea that the technology can and should change the way recruitment works. We have struggled, many have. Aspire is set to change it.
