At Metrolinx, I work within the AM & M Strategic Operations focusing on compliance auditing of heavy rail safety, rules and procedures; new initiatives and continuous improvement. As an individual passionate about occupational health & safety, I'm proud to be involved with keeping passengers and employee's safe every day. Key Responsibilities- Implementing safety management programs to promote consistency, eliminate hazards, mitigate risk, and align with the Metrolinx Safety Management Systems- Involved in investigations and corrective action plans to ensure non-compliance issues are addressed appropriately- Attend field activities such as oversight of contractors and daily compliance auditing activities throughout all Metrolinx' railway corridors- Data Analysis and presentation aligned with Metrolinx safety initiatives and kPIs with applicable internal/external resources- Analysis and continuous improvement of audits on the Maintenance Delivery processes and procedures to ensure regulatory and internal compliance to standards- Testing of safety management software to improve the effectiveness and traceability of compliance audits and corrective action plans, and further development of procedures and process maps to address gaps- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Maintenance Delivery are fully compliant with prevailing safety regulatory legislation, best practices, and emerging issues respecting railway safety guidelines; including meeting the current corporate Safety Management System and Regulatory requirements- Engaged as a Worker Member within Maintenance Delivery JHSC to ensure compliance to regulations and maintain safe working environment
