About Jyoti Kumar

Dear connections, here’s a short introduction about myself! My own health struggles in the past have served as a catalyst, propelling me to delve deeper into the realms of well-being and healthcare. Motivated by my experiences, I have dedicated myself to exploring research avenues that promote health and wellness. This journey has ignited my curiosity to understand the intricate interplay of socio-economic variables on individual and community health. For this, I pursued my post-graduation in Population Studies at the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai. My masters journey made me proficient in handling large datasets like NSSO, NFHS, and LASI through different small projects. I have been lately engaged in the research field with a primary focus on demography and public health. Talking about my experience, I am currently working as a Project Coordinator at Longitudinal Aging Study in India: Diagnostic Assessment of Dementia (LASI- DAD). This project is being conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in association with University of California. It is a wonderful opportunity to study changes in cognitive abilities and other health conditions in older population. Apart from this, I have been engaged as a Research Assistant at Datum Works Private Limited. I worked on one of their ongoing projects during my internship. I got a hands-on experience of data analysis and interpretation there. Research Interests: Epidemiology, Public Health, Development Softwares: STATA, SPSS, MS Excel, ArcGIS
