As the Controller at Maha Energy, a European oil and gas company with operations in Brazil, USA, and Oman, I oversee the financial accounting and reporting functions of the organization. I have more than 20 years of experience in the accounting and finance field, with a focus on international and Canadian companies in the energy sector. I am a Chartered Accountant with strong competencies in financial statements and disclosure documents quality review, accounting software implementation, project management, and team leadership. I have successfully managed the finance group that produced internal and external financial information for Gran Tierra Energy, a US-based company with assets in Colombia, Peru, and Brazil. I have also implemented Hyperion software and guided teams in international subsidiaries. I am passionate about fostering teamwork, developing productive relationships, and leading by example.
