About jyoti sharma

Research Scholar at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi with expertise in microbiology and molecular biology. I have isolated and characterised a potent biosurfactant from a bacterium Franconibacter sp. isolated from oil contaminated soil. Molecular characterization of the biosurfactant was also performed along with its application in microbial enhanced oil recovery. My previous work has focused on single molecular diagnostics and developed a method for rapid detection of typhoid. I also worked on understanding the rotational mechanism of bacterial flagellar motor. I am looking forward to further pursuing a career in research which focuses on science communication mentorship Research outreach. To this end I seek opportunities that will allow me to contribute and grow as a researcher while simultaneously helping me develop my leadership skills.
