About Kacey Harris

I am a motivated individual with close to 15 years experience within the maintenance field. Four years of experience was in the environmental and infrastructure division of Boart Longyear Drilling. This job required me to manage a small crew and work directly with clients to complete the work. These jobs included water well drilling, monitoring well drilling, remediation wells, and exploratory drilling. Then I went on to work for Unilever. During my time at Unilever I gained knowledge of WCM and just how important it is to have a structured process driven facility. These processes included LOTO, 5S, SWI’s, OEE monitoring, SMED, Quality, and preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance. For the last four years I have been the Maintenance Manager for LASCO/ Westlake Pipe and Fittings. In this roll I manage a crew of 30 maintenance technicians on a 24-7 operation with 70+ injection molding machines and supporting equipment. Here I have introduced CMMS systems and PM development within the facility while helping drive continuous improvement projects using resources within the plant. In house resources were key due to the pandemic restrictions and supply chain issues. We have been successful throughout these tough times and continue to do so with lower than optimal labor. This comes from team involvement, communication, and dedication. I enjoy a challenge and keep an open mind at all times when it comes to work. Anyone at any time can have an idea that can change the course of a failing project if the people around them will listen.
