About Kaden Smart

I am recent graduate in National Security Studies at Utah Valley University. During my undergraduate studies I have had the opportunity to be a content editor for the Journal of International & Strategic Studies for three publications. I have competed in the Cyber 9/12 policy competition hosted by the Atlantic Council, where my team finished as semi-finalists, beating teams from MIT and Harvard. My studies also include legal and historical studies, allowing me to perform a study abroad at the University of Oxford, studying American Constitutionalism. I have previous leadership experience from high-end retail where I was the assistant manager of a suit shop. I have also worked as a presidential intern at UVU where I manage projects, guide policy, and organize events for the University. While doing this, I worked as a team lead for the Open-Source Intelligence Center at UVU, where I led a small group of students in using and refining their open-source intelligence skills. These positions require strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills to effectively fulfill my responsibilities.
