About Kae Inoue

I am an award-winning journalist and author turned marketing specialist. I am at BlackRock focused on Strategic Communications, Content Production and Marketing Strategy. Before BlackRock, I was in charge of Thought Leadership, Sustainable Investment and ESG content production at Fidelity International. I was involved in global corporate marketing, branding, content production and business promotion. I also worked at Bain & Company in marketing, book publication and professional development. My longest career has been at Bloomberg News, where I was Deputy Bureau Chief, Asia Automotive Team Leader and Senior Reporter/Editor. I covered a wide range of politics, economy, markets, and business stories, and conducted numerous interviews with top executives of various global companies and institutions. I have also published articles for Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg Markets, web and social media, and was a regular contributor for Bloomberg TV and radio hits. Chicago Headline Club Peter Lisagor Award winner in the Best Business Reporting category. Fifty-second Annual Southern California Journalism Awards for Feature/ Commentary. Moderated government and media events, including the APEC Women's Entrepreneurship Summit (Gifu) as a representative of the journalism community. Before working in Japan, I was at the United Nations Headquarters in NYC, working on projects including setting up UN's sustainability initiatives and public information projects. I have a master’s degree from Columbia University SIPA, School of International and Public Affairs, with focus on international business and journalism. I have extensive experience living and working overseas. I am fluent in English, Japanese with conversational German and French.
