About Kaela Bien
Through my experience in multiple scientific research positions at the University of California, Berkeley, I have pursued my passion for biology and invertebrate science. I have participated in fieldwork and arthropod collection throughout the state of California. Through my courses I have developed an excellent standing of ecological concepts and fundamentals, and I have now shifted my focus to phylogeny, taxonomy, and more classical entomology fields of study. A work experience I would like to highlight is my role as Assistant Curator of Coleoptera at the Essig Museum of Entomology, as I would like to continue working in natural history museums in the future.
