Background

About Kahlen Washington

With over nine years in the field, my journey as a Research Assistant at Columbia University has been driven by a deep commitment to understanding and addressing urban poverty trends. My core competencies in communication, research, and statistical data analysis fuel my mission to deliver impactful insights that can improve service distribution in New York City. At Columbia, I am part of a team that values evidence-based solutions and diversity of thought, and I am dedicated to leveraging my skills to further our shared goals. In my current role, I manage the full interview and survey process for a study funded by the Robinhood Foundation. This involves coordinating with over study participants, ensuring the meticulous collection and updating of data through tools like Wincati and Qualtrics. My ability to effectively communicate across diverse groups and harmonize efforts with research fellows underscores our team's success in fostering knowledge that drives social change.
