About Kai Dewey
As a software engineer at Design Center Colorado, I am part of the interdisciplinary senior design team that is building an autonomous rover for the Hannigan Air Quality Research Lab. We are using a traversabilty to enable autonomous navigation of rough terrain. This project challenges me to apply my computer science knowledge and skills to a real-world problem and to collaborate with engineers from different disciplines. I am also a course assistant for Principles of Programming Languages (CSCI 3155) at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I help students learn about the conceptual design principles of programming languages. I enjoy teaching and mentoring others, as well as deepening my own understanding of the concepts and topics covered in the course. My goal is to graduate with a BS in Computer Science and pursue a career in software development that allows me to explore new technologies and solve complex problems.
