About Kai Hackney

As a highly driven Computer Science student at Georgia Institute of Technology, I hold a perfect 4.0 GPA and am deeply passionate about Artificial Intelligence and its transformative potential. My academic journey has provided a robust foundation in AI, Machine Learning, and advanced algorithms. My professional experiences have allowed me to apply this passion in practical settings. As a Data Science Intern at Hive Financial Systems, I designed and implemented multi-agent LLMs to detect and respond to processing errors, and leveraged Reinforcement Learning to generate personalized responses. During my Software Engineer Internship at State Farm, I contributed to significant system modernizations and conducted critical security reviews, showcasing my ability to work with large-scale, complex systems. I also played a key role in developing a next-generation AI compliance system as a Software Developer Intern at AI Guardian, focusing on Responsible AI best practices and NIST AI standards. Beyond internships, I serve as an Exam Lead for Object-Oriented Programming, where I guide a team of TAs in ensuring grading accuracy. My research as an AI/ML & CS Education Research Assistant involves designing user studies on AI agent personality and engineering adaptive AI agents with potential applications in areas like therapy and medical diagnostics. I am proficient in a range of programming languages and technologies, including Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and AWS, and am always eager to contribute to innovative AI-driven solutions.
