About Kai Heijneman

Currently working as Policy advisor for the Dutch league of Universities of applied Sciences (Vereniging Hogescholen) Previously policy advisor at the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. During my journalism bachelor I did an internship at the daily national newspaper Sp!ts. My bachelor included a semester abroad in Denmark, where I specialized in reporting on European politics. For my final project I made a series of newspaper articles on the effects of the financial crisis on young citizens of the European Union and Spain in particular. During my studies in Utrecht, I have been a member in the faculty council (as a vice-chairman) and university council. During an intensive year as the chairman of the Dutch Student Union I campaigned for accessible higher education for all students that posesses the talent to complete a higher education.
