About Kaia Alexander

I am an equity-focused changemaker who sees education as the issue of our generation. As a Recruitment Manager at Teach For America, I work to recruit the next generation of Teach For America corps members who are working to ensure one day all students have access to an excellent education. I began my career as a 2019 Detroit Corps Member teaching second grade during the pandemic. Seeing the strong impact Corps Members had on students and the community, I transitioned to the Recruitment Team to identify more diverse talent to join the movement for educational equity. Understanding the power of education I am earning my Masters in Business administration. In addition to work and school, I am heavily involved in my neighborhood association as the beautification committee chair helping to Revitalize local parks by building relationships with nonprofits, local government, and neighborhood constituents. In my free time, I love to be active rather that be walking my dog, training for a running race, or attending group fitness classes.
