About Kailey Boyd

I serve as the Assistant Director of Athletics at The Nightingale-Bamford School, an independent K-12 girls school in New York City. I have an MBA from Bethel University, a Sports Management Graduate Certificate from Liberty University, and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Health Education from Bethel University. I also have a Master's degree in Strategic Leadership from Bethel University, where I learned how to develop and implement effective strategies for organizational change and improvement. With over nine years of experience in education and twelve years of coaching, I have a diverse background in engaging with peers and students of all ages. I have worked as a College and Career Analyst, a Student Support Operations Manager, a Student Activities Coordinator, and a Health and Fitness Educator. I have also founded Play It Smart MN, LLC, a company that provides sports training and mentoring for youth, and served as a Board Member of the Martin Luther King Jr. Charter School of Excellence. In all my roles, I have demonstrated communication, organizational leadership, and cultural competency skills, as well as strong ethics, integrity, teamwork, and positivity. As a coach, director, and educator, my purpose is to dismantle the School-to-Prison Pipeline. I firmly believe in the transformative potential of robust sports programs, forging life-altering connections that, when combined with quality instruction and anti-racist policies, lay the foundation for student success. I am passionate about empowering students to discover and pursue their academic, athletic, and personal goals, and to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive in life.
