About Kailey Quezada

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA, I was fortunate to grow up in a family that instilled in me the importance of giving back. Passionate about community-centered change, I’ve been committed to empowering underrepresented communities since my early work at the Boys & Girls Club in high school. At San Diego State, I’ve continued this work through student leadership roles, community engagement, and advocacy for inclusive policy. Currently, I serve as a Prevention Specialist at SAY San Diego on a contract with the SDSU Policy Research Center for Tobacco and the Environment, where I develop education and research around tobacco control policy. I also support communications at the City of La Mesa’s City Manager’s Office and serve as VP of Social Change for the Graduate Student Association at SDSU. ‍ I’m pursuing a Masters of Public Administration at SDSU to sharpen my skills in public leadership and policy. My vision is to bridge nonprofit advocacy, public policy, and strategic leadership to continue uplifting communities, especially through local government. Outside of work, you can find me trying new food spots around San Diego, shopping, playing beach volleyball, or taking my puppy to explore new places! 🤝 Let’s connect if you’re interested in community-centered policy, youth empowerment, or meaningful public service!
