About Kainan Jarrette

I’m a recent graduate in Psychology with a strong interest in information science and media literacy, with an emphasis on misinformation and critical thinking. I’ve worked closely with faculty on research exploring how to prebunk false narratives, inaccurate information, and general manipulation strategies. I have a passion for helping people reason more effectively, and for making information—whether in a textbook, a podcast, or an interface—as clear and impactful as possible. My background combines academic research, instructional design, and digital tool development. I’ve co-authored a published study, created educational content using H5P and Pressbooks, and helped run human-subjects research on the effectiveness of prebunking materials.I’m currently expanding my technical skill set in Python and R, and co-authoring an e-textbook for an upcoming course at the University of Arizona.Outside of work, I'm a huge film nerd, amateur musician, and karaoke regular.
