About Kaitlin Blatchford

As a middle school science teacher, with 10 years of experience in grades sixth through eighth, my philosophy is centered on the belief that science education should be accessible and engaging for all students. I believe that hands-on learning experiences and critical thinking skills are crucial components of a well-rounded science education. By giving my students the opportunity to apply scientific concepts to real-world problems, I hope to not only deepen their understanding of science but also foster their critical thinking abilities. In the classroom, I strive to bring my philosophy to life through interactive and engaging lessons. I believe that students are more likely to retain information and make connections when they are actively involved in the learning process. To this end, I incorporate a variety of hands-on activities and real-world examples into my lessons. Additionally, I regularly assess my students to identify areas where they need additional support, so that I can adjust my teaching to meet their individual needs. Overall, my goal as a middle school science teacher is to create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive.
