About Kaitlin Sutherland

Kaitlin Sutherland, artist and film maker of Finnish and Ghanaian decent, grew up in Scarborough, Ontario. Her love for the storytelling and art styles of French and Eastern Animation led her to seek out a career in animation. A graduate of Sheridan College, Kaitlin served as the Animation Director of the award winning film “The Butterfly Affect” (“Mixed Media/Experimental Films” and “Audience Favourite” categories at the 2020 Florida Animation Film Festival). Kaitlin is currently working at Wildbrain Studios in Vancouver, Canada where she has worked on many projects. She was an Animation Supervisor on “The Snoopy Show” and an Episode Director on the award winning “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder”. Her most recent role was as Assistant Director on the multi-award winning projects “Snoopy Presents: One-of-a-Kind Marcie” and “Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin”. Kaitlin is currently part of the story team of the upcoming Peanuts Feature for Apple TV+. Always looking for fun creatively fulfilling animation work with a motivated team- Director with a background in storyboarding, animation directing, and a demonstrated history of producing quality animations for both television and feature!
