I’m a freelance journalist and master’s student at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, specializing in magazine and narrative writing. As a Medill Reports Fellow, I hone my skills in AP Style, fact-checking, copyediting, headline writing, and digital publishing through WordPress. Freelance Reporting: I pitch, report, research, and write stories that spotlight local businesses and civic issues, including coverage of Chicago’s first school board election. My work has appeared in Block Club Chicago, Illinois Latino News, and The Detroit News. Medill Reports Fellow: In this role, I fact-check and polish peer-reported stories, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and AP Style excellence, while managing digital publication for our Medill Reports news platform. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 2024, majoring in Organizational Studies with a minor in English. During college, I built my newsroom experience through internships at Automotive News, The Detroit News, CNN, and Seen Magazine, and served as a Senior News Editor at The Michigan Daily.
