About Kaitlyn McGee

Hello! I am a proud graduate of UC Irvine and a second year graduate student at Boston College earning my M.A. in School Counseling. I previously worked as an Academic Counselor at my alma mater, where I helped undergraduate students identify barriers and create solutions; I believe it is important to use a student-centered approach and a strength-based lens. Pursuing graduate study in school counseling has provided me the opportunity to work with adolescents in areas I am passionate about: academic success, career exploration, college readiness, and socio-emotional health. With a foundation in counseling theory, child development, and evidence-based practices, I am dedicated to helping students overcome challenges and meet their needs. Throughout my experience as a school counselor intern, I have found immense fulfillment in not only helping students achieve their goals but also in empowering them to believe in their own potential. With a deep commitment to student success, I believe in the power of strong relationships and open communication to help young people navigate their educational journeys.
