About Kaitlyn Root

Presently I am working for U-Haul International Inc. within the Human Resources Department as a Benefits Analyst. I have been an employee of U-Haul International for three years. Prior to U-Haul I worked a 4 year stint with Grand Canyon University as the Medical Claims Coordinator. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Master’s degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Administration. The nature of my studies and work experience has equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed for today's workforce. Work Experience Summary: I championed U-Haul Company’s Wellness Program by conceptualizing and standardizing data tracking and analysis of company-wide health trends as well as developing standard operating procedures. Within my role as a Benefits Analyst I oversaw benefit plan administration, educate employees, organize company health and benefit fairs, among many other responsibilities. As I gained more experience I began collaborating with the Benefit Program Manager in order to improve the company’s benefit platform through extensive quality assurance testing. Prior to working at U-Haul International I was the Medical Claims Coordinator for Grand Canyon University. In this role I engineered an insurance policy to fit the University’s specific needs by working with a team of legal, finance and insurance representatives. I also worked closely with a medical staff to coordinate patient care and manage medical claims.
