About Kaitlyn Simpson

I am a medical affairs professional with a strong foundation in oncology and a passion for scientific engagement, medical education, and improving patient outcomes. My journey began in oncology research, with a focus on breast cancer development and metastasis. This foundation has evolved into a dynamic role in medical affairs, where I currently support cross-functional initiatives within a leading pharmaceutical company. I have contributed significantly to three oncology launches, supporting critical deliverables such as thought leader profiling, treatment center mapping, literature analyses to inform forecasting and business case development. I am MSL certified and a subject matter expert leading trainings for MSLs and cross-functional teams, creating medical slide decks tailored for MSL interactions and OLAs with target HCPs to drive impactful, evidence-based discussions. What fuels me most is building meaningful relationships with HCPs—understanding what drives their clinical decision-making, identifying educational or evidence gaps, and supporting them in delivering better care. I firmly believe in the role of MSLs to bridge science and practice, and I am committed to elevating patient care across Canada through effective scientific exchange and field insights.
