About Kal Munis

7+ years of advanced statistics, experimentation, causal inference, and qualitative research experience. I love to work in collaborative research settings to develop surveys, experiments, and develop analyses to solve complex and important behavioral and political questions. My strongest substantive interests are in political communication, political psychology, public opinion, civic engagement, and environmental politics and conservation, but I am interested in virtually all behavioral science questions more broadly.As a doctoral student, predoctoral fellow in data science, and postdoctoral researcher, I drove end-to-end research on the urban-rural divide, nationalization and partisan polarization, and the role of affect and emotion in political psychology. In this research I used advanced statistical modeling, survey and conjoint experimental analysis, and natural language processing techniques. I have published 5 peer-reviewed articles, have given dozens of research talks at academic conferences and other venues, and have made multiple media appearances.
