About Kali Casab

Welcome! My name is Kali Casab (she / her / hers). I am currently based in Chicago, IL with roots in Michigan. As a survivor of gender-based violence, I found healing through Yoga in my high school years. I went on to study at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor - graduating with a Kinesiology and Health degree. My curriculum focused on teaching Mindfulness to those in marginalized communities. I am passionate about women's equality, and currently work for two different femme-centered nonprofit organizations: Supermajority and The Voices and Faces Project. At my full-time role with Supermajority, a women’s equality organization, I focus my efforts on building continuous political power for women (especially women of color) voters in strategic states. At my part-time role with The Voices and Faces Project, a Chicago based nonprofit (housed at Simmons Center Global Chicago) that hosts writing workshops for survivors of gender based violence and other human right violations, I manage all communication efforts and teach trauma-informed mindfulness in our workshop setting. I have organized for numerous organizations including Women’s March, Planned Parenthood, Personal PAC, and Protect Black Girls Coalition to name a few - and love exploring the intersection of social justice and creativity in my activism.
