About Kali Harris

A passion for patient education has taken me through a very diverse 7 years in the optical industry. 🤓 I started in the basics of optometry, learning pretesting for eye exams, understanding prescriptions, contact lenses, etc. I then switched gears to optical, learning how to choose the perfect frame and lenses for each unique patient in each practice I worked in. From there, I found a certain appreciation for all things dry eye, and was able to develop an extensive skill set of performing dry eye procedures (IPL, RF, iLux, Eyelight, Lipiflow) educating patients on proper products to manage their dry eye and create a plan with our doctors to give the patients the best relief with options that worked for them. My knowledge of dry eye has allowed me to transition easily to my surgical coordinator position with the Mitchell Eye Centre. Not only am I consulting with patients on dry eye procedures and treatments available, I also consult with patients on laser eye surgery, IOL options for Cataract and RLE surgery and much more.
