About Kalin Siegwald

I bring a strategic mind, creativity, hard work and a whole lot of heart to each of my projects. My varied experiences in the worlds of writing, design, branding, marketing and printing show up in my concepts and designs. I studied creative writing at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. I then moved to Thailand where I earned my CELTA certificate to teach English as a second language, after which I taught the best-attended baby class in Honshu, Japan. After returning to the US, I found my way to Wisconsin where I served as a management trainee at Quad Graphics, the second largest magazine printing company in America, focusing on the press and in sales, marketing and change management. While at Quad Graphics I worked on some of the world’s top publications including Vanity Fair, Vogue, Time and Rolling Stone. After leaving Quad Graphics I moved to Brooklyn where I honed my skills working as a manager for a high-end stationer. Soon after, I began working at?What If! Innovation, a company that works with Fortune 500 companies to identify their target consumers, create new products and services and train their employees on techniques for innovation. While at?What If! I worked with clients like Purina, American Express, Miller Coors, MTV. While working at?What If! Innovation helping companies develop new products and services, I became increasingly more interested in how to bring those ideas to life. After teaching myself the Adobe Creative Suite and putting together my portfolio, I submitted it to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I graduated in Fall 2016 with my MFA in Motion Graphics. Since then, I have been working as the Manager of Creative at Flavor Paper, a made-to-order wall paper company in Brooklyn that produces interactive designs like scratch and sniff wallpaper and interactive wallpaper that uses conductive ink to cause reactions.
