You thought you couldn’t replace meat, did you? Meet Jack, a fruit for meat lovers. A young unripe jackfruit from the jungles of Asia here to help you recreate your all-time favorite meat dishes. Jackfruit is a 100% natural ingredient with a meaty texture and the ability to absorb all types of spices. Perfect meat replacement, yet not very commonly used in Dutch kitchens. We are about to change that. In 2017, Marjolein Pleune and I teamed up to get the whole world to taste Jack. Starting with a geographically small and yet ambitious challenge: conquer the heart of meat lovers in The Netherlands. Fast forward to 2020, we have set up our supply chain of fresh-frozen jackfruit and developed 6 delicious products for the foodservice industry, available in the biggest wholesale stores in The Netherlands. Next up the retail market, we are proud to introduce 5 new jackfruit products. They are all ready to go on our very own webshop, and will soon be available in supermarkets across Europe.
