I began my career in mortgages and learned many valuable skills in starting as a file clerk, moving up to a document specialist, and eventually underwriter. This work didn't spark joy for me, so I went to university with plans to travel and teach. After working in China and Mexico in elementary schools, I made my way back to Calgary and grew a strong network as a substitute with the CBE. As the political climate changed, I made the decision to use all my experience and abilities in different settings, including MRU teaching English with a team of amazing professionals. I was then fortunate enough to accept a position with an organization that supports immigrant women and their families. This journey has taught me innumerable lessons and helped me to build a rich and dynamic professional profile that I can use to contribute in a variety of exciting working environments.
