About Kamel Madi

I hold a PhD in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence / Computer Vison) from Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University, France (2016), where I defended my thesis “Inexact Graph Matching: Application to 2D and 3D Pattern Recognition”. During my PhD, I was also a visiting researcher at the University of Ottawa and the National Research Council Canada, strengthening my international academic and research experience, namely in 3D computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning. I also taught Computer Science at Lyon 1 university and Lyon 3 University and conducted research at the LIRIS laboratory. With 12+ years of combined academic and industry experience, I have built strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and graph-based techniques.Currently, as a Senior AI & Generative AI Expert, I lead and contribute to strategic AI projects:• Design development and Leadership of innovative solutions in Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, and multi-modal systems.• Leadership and design of ANR-funded projects such as Gradient (AI for 3D deformable protein shape analysis and classification) and Revitalise (AI & GenAI for automatic training in public speaking).• Active involvement as AI and gen AI expert with clients (projects, proposals, business development), bridging cutting-edge AI research with industrial and business impact.I am passionate about leveraging AI and proposing new approaches to solve complex challenges, drive innovation, and create real-world value at the intersection of research, innovation and industry.
