My passion for safeguarding is driven by a commitment to creating a secure and nurturing environment where every student can reach their full potential. I hold strategic and operational oversight of safeguarding and child protection, and lead mental health and well-being and attendance initiatives in school. My work ensures that safeguarding policies are not just in place, but actively implemented and continuously improved to protect our students. AS A SAFEGUARDING SUPERVISOR… …I am passionate about supporting people, which has led me to support DSLs and DDSLs in schools by providing 1:1 safeguarding supervision, mentoring, and training through my role as an Independent Safeguarding Consultant and Associate Safeguarding Consultant with the Safeguarding Network. My approach to supervision is rooted in giving staff the space and time to reflect on their practice, discuss challenges, and develop solutions. I believe that well-supported staff are the cornerstone of effective safeguarding, and my goal is to empower them to perform their roles with confidence and resilience.
