About Kamil Piech

I originally come from Poland. My first proper experience with computers was in mid-90s. In 2001 I had my first lesson on software programming in Pascal and I was hooked. I knew straight away that was what I wanted to do for a living. Two days after graduating from Polish high school I moved to the UK seeking further education. I started BSc Software Engineering at the Aberystwyth University, Wales. After two years I was employed as a Junior Web Developer by Elevator Limited Web Design agency based in Manchester who I did my industrial placement with. In 14 months I spent with them I learned more than during two years at uni. Realizing how much more professional opportunities I was presented with in Manchester area I decided to transfer to Manchester Metropolitan University and finish my degree there. I graduated with first class honours and soon after was given a position of Software Developer at Elcometer Limited. I have been with them since 2011. I am a man of many interests. In my spare time I do a lot of landscape photography. I am also an RC enthusiast flying RC planes and multi-copters. In addition to that, being a massive petrol-head focusing on the american motor industry, I collect 1:18 scale models of classic american cars and american muscle cars. Top this up with more recent love for astronomy and you will get the entire picture.
