Background
About Kamran Safi
Since the age of 6, I've had a deep-seated fascination with computers and books, a passion that has directed the course of my life. Now, at 20 years old, I can reflect on a remarkable journey of 14 years filled with endless pages and lines of code. Inspired by the wisdom and knowledge gained, my goal is to effect substantial change for my people. My youthful curiosity led me to explore programming languages, eventually shifting focus to Microsoft servers. This interest culminated in becoming the youngest Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert in Afghanistan at the age of 14, a milestone achieved by passing five rigorous Microsoft exams. My thirst for knowledge continued unabated as I delved into the world of Cisco, earning both CCNA and CCIE certifications by the age of 16. In 2017, I began working with COMSIS SOLUTIONS LLC, where I had the opportunity to contribute to various bids. Over the years, I have successfully won over 100 projects from DOD/MICC/Embassies through platforms like UNISON and FBO. In 2019, I took on a managerial role, leading a team of 25 people as a Strategic Development Manager, while also focusing on DLA Projects. At the same time, I have been expanding my technical acumen as an IT Service Operations Specialist with Essity, a Swedish company. This role allows me to continue engaging with the technical facets of IT, which I deeply enjoy. While I am passionate about technology, I am equally committed to social change. As the Executive Director for Help Build Tomorrow (HBT), I have been instrumental in enrolling 77 underprivileged children in schools and distributing over food aid packages throughout Afghanistan. One of my current projects,"WAWRAI," is a free audiobook platform that translates seminal English books into Pashto and Dari. It aims to introduce Afghans to global ideas, cultural insights, and political workings - all in a digestible, summarized form. In conclusion, I bring a potent blend of technical IT expertise, extensive experience in government contracts, and a philanthropic drive to educate children and revolutionize Afghanistan through initiatives like Wawrai. By empowering our people with the knowledge to understand the world, I believe we can pave the way to a better future.
