About Kamson Dong

I am a third-year Chemical Engineering student at Vanderbilt University and aspiring to advance sustainable process design and innovative materials development. With a background in research, I optimize my time in university to absorb all that I can and to lean towards the discomfort. I am knowledgeable in multiple technical aspects, including infrared spectroscopy, water electrolysis, and data interpretation tools such as Excel and Python. My background reflects my academics and research endeavors in chemical engineering and chemistry. I am well-versed in laboratory techniques and approach every assignment with a detail-oriented approach, drawing upon a mixture of experiences as a high school research student and now an undergraduate engineering student at Vanderbilt University. Once a high school student researcher, my growing, unfettered curiosity and environmental stewardship are driving factors behind the pursuit of success. My interests lie in the energy sector, environmental engineering, and process engineering, where I can tackle prominent engineering challenges alongside others. Driven to make the most of each day, I am gradually perfecting my work-life balance in the way I find most optimal. After all, innovation only shines when the mind is not confined. Happy connecting!
